PULP & PAPER MILL, ARGENTINA

STEBBINS performed a critical reline program during a major shutdown for a Paper Mill in Argentina, South America. The scope included a complete re-line of the D2 Tower sidewall, D1 and D2 Tube, and additional minor works. STEBBINS was the only contractor onsite to complete their scope ahead of schedule and with zero safety incidents. STEBBINS managed a staff of over 100 workers in two shifts for 18 days.

PULP MILL, CHILE

The earthquake that shook Chile on February 24, 2010 had a devastating impact upon a Pulp Mill’s processing equipment. STEBBINS was called to the scene to analyze and refurbish six Bleach Towers over an expedited time frame. The vessels were assessed for structural integrity, repaired, and relined allowing the client to start-up two weeks ahead of schedule. The project was completed in four months with a crew size over 60.

RECYCLE PAPER MILL, NEW ZEALAND

Turnkey supply and installation of several large concrete and ceramic Stock Preparation and High Density (HD) Storage Tanks for a plant expansion. The plant is in an unusually high seismic zone. Our construction schedule spanned 18 months and included crews from Canada, USA and New Zealand.

PULP & PAPER MILL, CANADA

As a result of a defective mixing rake, the concrete floor in a Clarifier had sustained significant damages. To continue operations within the vessel, the concrete floor had to be replaced. STEBBINS demolished the existing concrete floor, replaced all loose underlying substrate with crushed lime rock, and poured a new SemAg concrete reinforced floor with shrinkage reducing fibers.

PAPER MILL, CANADA

Old and damaged tank covers at a Canadian Mill had weathered by freeze-thaw cycles over 37 years. Operations could only afford a 2-day shutdown for repairs. STEBBINS constructed the covers using our proven ceramic-lined design and conical configuration. Repairs to the side wall were performed while the tanks were in operation. New covers were lifted by a crane and installed on the tank during the 2-day shutdown.
