Titanium Dioxide Refinery, USA

STEBBINS was contacted to design a masonry and membrane lining to replace the existing rubber linings in a pigment finishing facility. STEBBINS’ technical services analyzed thermal and mechanical forces of the existing shell to be compatible with the new lining design. The project was completed on a 24/7 schedule to complete two vessels during a short shutdown.

 

Corrosion resistant lining

Cumene/Phenol Plant, TAIWAN

STEBBINS was contracted to design and supply ceramic and polymer linings to resist Hydrochloric acid and solvent at elevated temperatures and pressures for the Monsanto/UOP process. Over 8 years, STEBBINS installed these linings in 5 plants worldwide and they are expected to last over 30 years with minimum oversight. The linings replaced Hastelloy B2 shells which had high maintenance expenses and a lower lifespan.

Vinyl Chloride Monomer Plant, SOUTH KOREA

STEBBINS was contracted to design and supply ceramic and polymer linings to resist process and solvent at elevated temperatures and pressures for the Badger and OxyVinyls processes. Over 50 years, we have installed our linings in 16 Vinyl Chloride Monomer plants across the globe. They have an expected lifespan of over 30 years with minimal maintenance.

Aluminium Sulfate (ALUM) Plant, USA

A brick lining was installed onto an Alum Digester by an unknown construction company in 2010 and immediately began leaking. Repairs were performed in 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2017 by the same company but the leaking continued. STEBBINS was contacted to repair both the steel vessel and lining over two shutdowns. Since the repairs were performed in 2018, no leaking from the digester has been observed since.

FERTILIZER, CANADA

STEBBINS was awarded the lining contract for a new Interpass Tower. The award was based on our industry wide expertise in all forms of acid resistant lining applications, and the successful completion of past projects. STEBBINS’ skilled labor pool along with the necessary knowledge and expertise was used to complete the Interpass Tower project successfully.
