AR-500 MORTAR

STEBBINS’ AR-500 Mortar is a chemical resistant masonry joint material based on a modified vinyl ester resin. This material combines excellent corrosion resistance with superior retention of properties at high temperatures. The material exhibits excellent resistance to chemical attack by oxidizing bleach solutions, mineral acids, alkaline solutions and many solvents.

 

AR-500 Mortar has been used in Chlorine Dioxide Generating Towers, Pressure Oxidation Autoclaves, a variety of metal/mineral refining applications, and wet chlorine conditions at 350°F liquid. It has also been used extensively in Incinerator Absorbers and in processes for the manufacture of chlorinated organic chemicals.
