During a recent entry into the Alkylator of the styrene plant, it was confirmed that the original brick lining is still stable, even after twenty years of service. This plant is one of the twenty-seven styrene plants we have provided linings for since 1964. The plants are located throughout the world. These linings are subject to temperatures and pressures in excess of 350°F and 90 psi respectively, and to an aggressive combination of HCL and solvents. Since STEBBINS linings have proven so successful, they are specified over Hastelloy B2 and are provided at a fraction of the cost with as much reliability.
